How the simulator supports delivery

  1. A workspace for every learner

Six role workspaces, from OIM or Emergency Manager to Key Events Logger, match the six-learner maximum, and learners rotate through the Emergency Manager seat.

  2. Type A, B and C scenarios

More than 100 built-in scenarios with lesson plans, by asset type, covering the three threats and the essential events the standard lists, from missing personnel to loss of positioning.

  3. Stress and information load

Telephones, radio, PA, the incident soundboard and timed injects load the team, as the standard's simulated background noise and distractions require.

  4. Appraisal and gap analysis

The assessor and appraiser panel, with OPITO guidance and OPITO audited appraisal and assessment tools built in, plus the automated key events log and decision logging for each learner's performance appraisal.

  5. From briefing to scenario

Learners explore the installation and controls before the first scenario, alongside the theoretical discussion the standard requires.

  6. Face to face or remote

Run it in your own command room, or deliver remotely to the OPITO software requirements, with learners in an appropriate and professional environment.
