Simulator questions
The simulator was audited and approved by OPITO as part of Poseidon Training's approval as an OPITO Approved Centre for MEMIR 7228, OIMCE 7025 and CROER 9004. It is in use by OPITO approved centres. Training providers using the simulator to deliver OPITO products need their own OPITO centre approval.

Yes. A major emergency management (MEM) simulator is also called a MOME (management of major emergencies) simulator, an OIM simulator or an emergency response simulator. The Poseidon simulator is a command and control emergency scenario simulator in which delegates join in their assigned emergency roles, such as OIM or Control Room Operator.
The OPITO asset types: Production Operations (Fixed), Production Operations (Floating), Drilling Operations (Fixed), Drilling Operations (Floating), Mobile/Floating Installations and Normally Unattended Installations (NUI), plus onshore plant and renewable energy assets.
More than 100 built-in scenarios with lesson plans, available by asset type, covering Type A, B and C emergencies. We can also build scenarios from your existing lesson plans.
Yes. It is built from your plans and configured to your installations and asset types: your layouts, your alarms, your terminology. Overview, deck and equipment views carry navigable hotspots.
Yes. Run the simulator face to face in your own command room or deliver the session remotely, in line with the OPITO software requirements for remote delivery. Face to face and remote versions are available to lease.
Yes. Operators and contractors can use the simulator for their own offshore drills.
It is hosted on ISO 27001 certified, SOC 2 Type II audited infrastructure and has been security reviewed. Access is by invitation only, with role-based permissions, data encrypted in transit and at rest, and each organisation's data kept separate.
Yes. The simulator can be customised to your organisation, with your own style and branding.
