OPITO 9030 · PLANT MANAGER/INCIDENT COMMANDER INITIAL RESPONSE

PMIC-IR simulator

Onshore command, practised.

PMIC-IR follows the same structure as MEMIR, for onshore plant managers and incident commanders. The Poseidon Emergency Management Simulator™ supports its practical scenarios with onshore plant configurations, role-based workspaces and the same live session tools.

SUPPORTED

Audited and approved by OPITO as part of Poseidon Training's approval as an OPITO Approved Centre for MEMIR 7228, OIMCE 7025 and CROER 9004.

Training providers using the simulator to deliver OPITO products need their own OPITO centre approval.

How the simulator supports delivery

  1. Onshore plant configurations

Built from your plant's plans, with customisable maps for onshore sites and procedures adapted to yours.

  2. The incident commander's seat

One learner commands from the Emergency Manager workspace, with role names matched to your own, such as Plant Manager or Incident Commander.

  3. A plant that responds

A live process picture, shutdown and blowdown, safety systems, alarms and permits, all responding in real time.

  4. Pressure and information load

Telephones, radio, PA, the incident soundboard and timed injects keep the incident management team working under load.

  5. Feedback that sticks

An automated key events log, decision logging and a structured debrief give each learner evidence for feedback, not memory.
